New Collection – New Connection

How our new collection has gained spiritual depth

Our journey with virblatt began with the question: Where does our clothing actually come from – and how can we give it meaning again?

It was a matter close to our hearts to get to know the people who turn our idea of alternative clothing into something wearable. In our section “Who makes your clothing” we introduce our partners in Thailand and Nepal. This way, we were able to learn a lot about the people and cultures and have combined Asian traditions in our modern yet alternative clothing.

A journey that remains unforgettable for us is our #hempjourney. We went even further into the question of where our clothes actually come from. We traveled to remote mountain regions of northern Thailand, met families who have been working with hemp for generations, and learned what clothing can be when it is created in connection – with nature, with people, with tradition.

This attitude still shapes our alternative clothing today. Together with friendly artists and long-standing partners in Nepal and Thailand, we have created designs that are worn – and make an impact.

T-shirts as spiritual clothing

In implementing our new collection, we had to admit something: When it comes to T-shirts, there are others who have already gained extensive experience in high-quality, certified manufacturing. And we don't want to reinvent everything – but rather build on good structures if they align with our values.

That's why we collaborate with Stanley/Stella for this collection. The Belgian brand stands for fair production, highest organic quality, and sustainable responsibility – certified according to GOTS, PETA, and OEKO-TEX. This allows us to focus on what defines us: meaning and design.

Art with Attitude: our designs

Our prints are more than just graphic eye-catchers – they tell stories. An important part of this is Emily from Ink & Earth. She is not only a longtime friend but also an incredibly sensitive artist. Her dotwork art is inspired by nature, spirituality, and quiet depth. Several of our T-shirts bear her signature – in the truest sense of the word.

Equally formative was our stay in Thailand, where we discovered the world of Sak Yants on our journey. These traditional Buddhist protective symbols are ubiquitous in Thailand – on the skin, on walls, in texts – and in the hearts of many people.

A Thai artist friend has reinterpreted these symbols together with us and turned them into prints for our spiritual clothing: Gao Yord, Ha Taew, and Paed Tidt – three powerful yantras that symbolize protection, clarity, and balance.

For us, it was clear: When we make clothing, we don't just want to "wear" something, but to carry something forward – in meaning, in attitude, in connection.

Spiritual clothing, lived connection

Our new collection is another step on our journey. A journey that has been characterized from the beginning by curiosity, collaboration, and respect – towards the people we work with and those who wear our clothing.

We are happy that you are part of this journey.
